Colm Gallagher

Colm Gallagher serves as the Chief Data Scientist at Hitachi ZeroCarbon since May 2022, following a tenure at Eaton from April 2019 to May 2022 where Colm held positions as Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist, focusing on energy management systems and EV charging infrastructure. Prior experience includes a role as a Data Analyst at Energy Analytics Ltd. from September 2015 to April 2019, providing consulting services across various industries to identify energy-saving opportunities. Colm also worked as a Research Assistant at University College Cork, Ireland in 2015, concentrating on energy performance metrics for data centres. Colm earned a PhD in Data Science from University College Cork in 2019 and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Energy Engineering in 2015.
