Jonathan Tay is an experienced legal professional specializing in corporate and commercial law, data privacy, and data protection within the ASEAN region. Currently serving as Legal Counsel and Data Privacy Advisor for Hitachi since October 2020, Jonathan previously held legal counsel positions at Airbus and ST Engineering, where expertise in regional personal data protection under GDPR and technology law transactions was developed. Prior to in-house roles, Jonathan gained private practice experience at Pacific Law Corporation and Bih Li & Lee LLP, handling corporate, commercial, and dispute resolution matters. Jonathan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law from King's College London and additional qualifications in Accounting and Business from ACCA, along with a Diploma in Commercial Awareness from BPP University.
