Tim Coles

Tim Coles is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in senior IT roles across various industries. Currently serving as the European Regional CIO and Deputy CIO for Hitachi Group since April 2023 and as the Global CIO for Hitachi Rail since May 2019, Tim also founded and directs Peritia IT Ltd, focusing on business transformation and IT services. Previously, Tim held significant positions including Group CIO at Premier Farnell and Group Head of IT at JCB, contributing to major organizations in technology distribution and manufacturing. Tim's early career included leadership roles at Volkswagen Group, where responsibilities spanned IT program management and business development. Tim holds degrees from the University of Northampton.
