John Manning has an extensive career in the transportation industry, currently serving as the Interim COO Manufacturing at Hitachi Rail Europe since October 2014. Prior to this role, John spent 14 years at Bombardier Transportation, where responsibilities included project and general management, Head of UK Engineering, VP of Project Management, and leadership positions in metro and bogie divisions. John earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Metallurgy from Imperial College London between 1975 and 1978.
