Michael Hill has over 20 years of experience in the engineering and maintenance sectors, currently serving as the Head of Heavy Maintenance at Hitachi Rail since May 2007. In this role, Michael oversees the strategic direction of fleet overhaul activities, focusing on the development and optimisation of overhaul schedules to maximise asset life and minimise life cycle costs. Prior to this position, Michael held various roles at Hitachi Rail, including Strategic Transformation Manager and Overhaul Manager. Earlier experience includes working as an Electrician at ESS Engineering, contributing to the testing and commissioning of a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Vessel, and serving as an Apprentice Electrician at Terry Baker Electrical Contractor Limited.
