Ryan Downey

Ryan Downey is a skilled professional with extensive experience in the railway industry. Currently serving as a Technical Riding Inspector and previously as a Technical Riding Technician at Hitachi Rail since March 2019, Ryan has developed a strong technical background. Prior to this role, Ryan worked as an Electro Mechanical Technician at CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) from March 2014 to October 2022. Ryan holds an HNC in Electrical Engineering from Fife College (2018-2019) and an NVQ in Mechanical Engineering from No 4 School of Technical Training MOD St Athan (2004-2006), complemented by foundational education from Kirkcaldy High School (1999-2004).
