Tim Wiggins

Tim Wiggins is an experienced engineering professional, currently serving as the Type Test and Commissioning Manager at Hitachi Rail since December 2016, overseeing the Test and Validation team for AEMR project validation and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Prior to this role, Tim held positions including Lead Test and Commissioning Engineer at Hitachi Rail, where responsibilities included document production for assessment verification and leading test scenarios. Tim's previous experience includes working with Arriva Rail North as a Technical Trainer, focusing on delivering safety courses and managing apprentice training, as well as serving as a Rolling Stock Maintenance Technician and Deputy Team Leader. Tim began a career in the Royal Navy, where duties included managing maintenance routines for propulsion systems. Tim holds a Foundation Degree in Engineering from the Royal Naval School of Marine Engineering and a BEng Hons in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Newcastle College.
