Matthew W. has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2010, they worked as a Communications Assistant at Union College Communications Office. Matthew then worked as a Media Intern at Entertainment Tonight in the same year. In 2011, they were an Intern at Christie's and in 2012, they worked at Christie's as a Client Service Representative and Work Experience Associate. Also in 2012, they worked as a Communications Assistant at HitchSwitch. In 2016, they were a Summer Associate at Natter & Natter, Intellectual Property Law Firm. In 2017, they were a Judicial Law Intern at New York State Supreme Court-Commercial Division-Hon. Anil C. Singh, an Advanced Student Counsel at Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy Clinic (BLIP), and a Summer Law Clerk at Redmond Law PLLC. Finally, in 2018, they were the Director Of Operations & Compliance at HitchSwitch.

Matthew W. received their Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Brooklyn Law School in 2018, where they studied Intellectual Property Law. Matthew obtained their Bachelor of Arts from Union College in 2012, where they studied History and Film Studies. In 2011, Matthew also participated in Union College's Italian Abroad Program, studying Art History.
