Jin Li

Jin Li has a long and successful career in the life sciences. Jin began their career in 1989 as the Head of Computational Chemistry at Proteus/Protherics. In 1990, they moved to Protherics Molecular Design Ltd and held the same role. In 2001, they joined AstraZeneca as the Director of Computational Sciences, then later as the Director of Global Compound Sciences and the Director of Chemical Computing. In 2012, they became the Chairman and CEO of HitGen Ltd, a life science company based in Chengdu, China. At HitGen, they established a unique platform for early drug discovery research and focused on hit identification and lead generation during the early phase of drug discovery R&D.

Jin Li began their educational journey in 1985 when they obtained a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from Aston University. From 1988 to 1990, they worked as a post-doctoral researcher at The University of Manchester, where they studied protein structures, molecular simulations, and parallel computing. In October 2013, Jin Li was awarded the Fellow certification from the Royal Society of Chemistry.
