In between Kristiansund and Trondheim you find Hitra. An island described by some as a Norway in miniature. With beautiful nature and culture, Hitra is a pearl in Trøndelag which you wont forget. It is surrounded by over 2500 islands, shear and islets, and is a popular destination spot for vacation, in which you will be greeted by the locals, known as "Hitterværingene"​.

This is where the salmon farming adventure started in the early 1970's, and today Hitra has labor from all over the world in the industries.
