HITS Theatre is one of the leading children's performing arts organizations in Houston providing comprehensive musical theatre training for grades K-12. HITS Theatre was founded in 1980 as a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation by Carolyn Franklin. HITS is located in the historic Houston Heights and provides arts programming to over 1200 students each year. HITS provides a transformative experience for our students as they become disciplined team players, creative thinkers, and confident communicators— learning critical skills that will serve them well whether on stage or in the board room.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, HITS Theatre is able to continue to deliver top-notch theater education, building a foundation for life-long learning:

The Jerry C. Dearing Family Foundation
Miller Theatre Advisory Board
The Brown Foundation
Cullen Trust for the Performing Arts
Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation
Wortham Foundation
The Humphreys Foundation
Amica Mutual Insurance Company
ExxonMobil Foundation

City Connections is funded in part by the City of Houston, CASE for Kids, and Harris County Department of Education.

HITS Theatre programming is funded in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
