Simon Butler

Simon Butler has worked in the technology industry for over a decade. Simon began their career in 2010 as a Research Assistant at Imperial College London, where they worked on a project in collaboration with MBDA Systems to perform the planning of 3D trajectories in complex environments. In 2011, they moved to QinetiQ as a Technology Consultant, where they were the technical lead for the COTSEE programme. This involved undertaking research using emerging technologies applied to the military simulation and training domain. In 2013, they joined Hive Learning as a Principal Engineer.

Simon Butler completed their PhD in Intelligent Systems and Networks from Imperial College London in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained an MEng in Information Systems Engineering from the same university in 2006.
