Jeelan Poola

Jeelan Poola has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Currently, they serve as the Chief Product Officer at Hive Pro, where they collaborate with senior executives and stakeholders to drive market growth and streamline operations. Jeelan is responsible for directing the product roadmap, engineering, and operations of HivePro Cyber Security products. Jeelan also manages a team of 40+ individuals across multiple products and has improved product messaging and marketing strategies. Prior to Hive Pro, Jeelan worked at Couchbase as the Senior Director and Director of Engineering, leading various teams and taking on additional product development responsibilities. Jeelan played a significant role in scaling and growing the team while building highly concurrent and scalable distributed systems software. Before Couchbase, Jeelan held positions at Extreme Networks, Zebra Technologies Corporation (through acquisition), Motorola Solutions, and Symbol Technologies India Inc., where they were involved in designing, developing, and delivering advanced software solutions for networking and wireless LAN systems. Jeelan's work has resulted in multiple patents and innovative contributions to the industry. Jeelan began their career at Wipro, where they worked on various software development projects in roles such as Technical Lead. Throughout their career, Jeelan has demonstrated expertise in product management, engineering, and software development in the technology sector.

Jeelan Poola completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology Surat from 1996 to 2000. In 2006, they obtained a Certificate in Project Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Additionally, they have also obtained several certifications including "Fred Kofman on Managing Conflict," "J.T. O'Donnell on Making Recruiters Come to You," and "Sramana Mitra on Bootstrapping" from LinkedIn in October 2016.
