Simon Olofsson

Simon Olofsson started their work experience as a Medarbetare at McDonald's in November 2008 and ended in May 2009. Simon then worked as a Studiecoach at Upgrades Education from October 2010 to June 2012. After that, they joined PostNord Sverige as a Brevbärare in November 2011 and left in August 2017. In January 2016, they became the Ordförande för Musikaliska och Estetiska sektionen and served until January 2017 at Studentkåren DISK. Simon also worked as a Workshophandledare from September 2016 to June 2017 and as a Valberedningen, Musikaliska och estetiska sektionen from January 2017 to January 2018 at Studentkåren DISK. Simultaneously, from September 2017 to June 2018, they were the Workshopansvarig at Studentkåren DISK. Later, in July 2018, Simon joined Folksam as a Data Engineer, where they worked on a digital archive and data lake. Simon'sresponsibilities included data processing in Spark using Scala and Python in both Azure and on-prem Hadoop environments, as well as application development in Scala, Python, Java, and JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular). Simon worked at Folksam until March 2023. Currently, they work at Hive Streaming as a Data Engineer, starting in March 2023.

Simon Olofsson completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with a Bachelor's degree in Data and Systems Science from Stockholm University, which they obtained from 2015 to 2018. Prior to this, from 2012 to 2014, they attended Skurups folkhögskola, where they studied music. Before that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy (fil.kand.) from Stockholm University, specializing in History, from 2009 to 2012.
