Henry Arroyo

Henry Arroyo has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Henry started their career as a Graphic/Web Designer working as a freelancer from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 to 2009, they worked at avVenta Worldwide, initially as a Flash Designer/Developer, then as a Flash Lead, and later as a Flash Director. During this time, they were responsible for project allocation, training and mentoring new team members, and improving processes and methodologies.

In 2010, Henry joined Aericon as a Front End Developer and stayed there until 2016. Henry then moved to Post Planner, where they worked as a Back End Developer and later as a Marketing Solutions Leader. In these roles, they were involved in the migration of the app from PHP to React+Node.js using microservices architecture and also developed marketing initiatives and products using Hubspot with JavaScript.

From 2009 to 2018, Henry worked at Nexus Digital as a Senior Full Stack Developer. Henry designed and developed JavaScript web applications using React on the front end and Node.js.

In 2018, Henry joined Stateside as a Senior Front End Developer and later became the Front End Tech Lead. Henry worked there until 2021, leading front end development and contributing to the team's success.

Most recently, Henry joined Microsoft in 2021 as a Software Engineer and then transitioned to Hivemapper in 2022 as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, focusing on full stack development.

Henry Arroyo holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica. In addition to their degree, they have obtained certifications as an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer from Oracle, and as a Professional Scrum Master from Scrum.org.
