Simon Johnson

Simon Johnson is a Distinguished Engineer at HiveMQ, where they drive innovation in industrial IoT and oversee distributed data intelligence initiatives. As co-chairman of the MQTT-SN Technical Committee and a co-author of MQTT-SN 2.0, they contribute significantly to industry standards. Previously, Simon held senior roles at u-blox, InMobi, Qualcomm, and other organizations, focusing on IoT messaging systems and product development. They are also an experienced director and co-founder of Metaflow, where they played a key role in the company's acquisition. Simon is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computing at the University of Manchester and the University of Portsmouth, respectively.
