Jonathan Nelson

Jonathan Nelson's work experience includes serving as a Director of Product Management at Hiya Inc. since February 2018. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Product Manager and later as a Product Manager for Digital Reputation at Whitepages. During their time at Whitepages, they spearheaded a major initiative to identify and block unsolicited calls and texts, and managed the development of a new scala-based reputation service. Jonathan also worked as a Senior Program Manager at Whitepages, where they managed release schedules and feature tracking for Android and iOS applications.

Before their time at Whitepages, Jonathan was a Co-Owner of POCO wine + spirits, where they led the business towards profitability and secured talented professionals in the food and service industry. Jonathan also co-founded Meevine/Gatherball, where they served as a Product Manager and helped create a social travel planning service.

Jonathan's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Technical Program Manager at RealNetworks and as a Group Program Manager at Varia Mobile, where they led a team of 30 and worked on wireless media players. Jonathan also worked as an Interface Designer for Synapse and as a Senior Technical Program Manager for AOL, managing teams and projects in the mobile communications and media devices.

Jonathan's career began as a Software Test Engineer at Chromium Communications, where they tested scripting interpreter/compiler and consumer-facing software.

Jonathan Nelson completed their undergraduate education from 1998 to 2000 at Montana State University-Bozeman, where they studied Computer Science with a focus on Physics, Mathematics, and Programming. Jonathan later pursued a degree in Computer Science at the University of Washington from 2000 to 2004, specializing in Design and Management.
