John B.

John B. has had a diverse array of work experience. John started in 1993 as a Class A Interior Firefighter and Past Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Valatie Volunteer Fire Department. In 2004, they became the Chief Operating and Financial Officer at the NYS Thruway Authority and Canal Corporation, and held that role until 2014. John also served on the Board of Directors and as Audit Committee Chairperson at Interfaith Partnership for the Homeless from 2008 to 2017. In 2015, they held multiple positions including Senior Vice President at The Lynmark Group, Senior Project Director at HJI Group Corporation, Principal Consultant at JMB Advisory Group, and became the President of J & A Land Enterprises. John then became the Board Chairman of the Village of Valatie Planning Board in 2016. In 2018, they became the Senior Vice President - Chief Operating Officer at Selene Energy. Their most recent role is as the Interim Chief Financial Officer at MMS Group, which they started in 2021.

John B. attended Syracuse University - Maxwell School from 1983 to 1989, where they completed both their Bachelor's and Master's degrees. Their field of study was Economics/Public Finance.
