Established in 2020, HKU Trading Group is the premier finance club on campus focused on professional recruiting for investment banking and markets.

We organize mentorships, competitions, and training sessions, publish regular fundamental, macro, and quant reports, and manage a simulated portfolio in partnership with Valuable Capital. One of our flagship projects this year is organizing a poker tournament in HKU sponsored by Flow Traders.

Our new structural change is designated to strengthen members’ investment acumen by combining top-down and bottom-up research approaches. We derive equity alpha, quant, and macro strategies based on our thematic research in sectors including TMT, Consumer, Industrial/Energy, and EV/Materials.

Our batches of alums work at bulge-bracket investment banks and well-regarded trading shops - We look forward to expanding our community and knowledge base with students who share the same passion down the road.
