Ewout Kramer

Ewout Kramer has significant expertise in FHIR, serving as a FHIR evangelist, speaker, and tutor at Firely since February 2018, while also providing consultancy on the national use of FHIR for Helse Vest since January 2013. Kramer's leadership extends to the role of board member at the FHIR Foundation since August 2016 and as CTO at MindApp / Into the Clear since August 2015, focusing on the integration of hospital systems and the exchange of medical data for brain tumor treatment. As the development lead for HL7 FHIR at HL7 International since September 2011, Kramer has played a key role in designing and implementing the HL7 FHIR communication standard. Previous experience includes R&D coordination at Furore from September 2006 to January 2023, and contributions to NHS Digital and the National Comprehensive Cancer Network regarding FHIR integration. Kramer's educational background includes a BSc in Computer Science from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and additional studies at Chinese College Nederland and Blaise Pascal College.
