Darrell Sofield

Darrell Sofield is a seasoned professional in the fields of geomorphology and environmental consulting, currently serving as a Senior Geomorphologist at HNTB since March 2022. Previous experience includes roles as a Geomorphologist at Northwest Hydraulic Consultants and as a Senior Consultant at ERM, where project management and environmental compliance were central responsibilities. Darrell's career encompasses significant contributions to salmon restoration projects with the Lummi Nation, teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Western Washington University, and active involvement with the Association of Environmental and Engineering Geologists. An academic background includes a Master of Science in Geology from Michigan Technological University and a Bachelor of Arts in Geology from Colby College.
