John Burris

John Burris is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in transportation planning and project management, currently serving as a Project Manager at HNTB since February 2017. John has a robust background in travel demand modeling, traffic forecasting, and analysis, complemented by expertise in GIS, corridor studies, transit studies, and noise studies. Prior to this role, John worked as a Transportation Planner at AECOM and held similar positions at HNTB, where foundational skills in air quality analysis were developed. John began the career as a Transportation Engineer with Capital Area MPO and gained initial experience as a Graduate Assistant at the Center for Transportation Research. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Urban & Regional Planning with a focus on Transportation and a Bachelor of Science in Geography with an emphasis on GIS, both from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
