Mark Huffer

Project Director at HNTB

Mark Huffer is an accomplished project director with extensive experience in public transit projects across the United States. Currently with HNTB since March 2014, Mark serves as a professional consultant and National Bus Rapid Transit Practice Leader. Prior to HNTB, Mark was the GM/CEO of the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority from December 2000 to September 2014, overseeing public transit operations in a seven-county region. Mark's earlier career includes a position as Division Director of Planning and System Development at The Bi-State Development Agency (Metro) from 1991 to 2000, where leadership was provided to key departments in a large public transit system. Mark holds a Master of Business Administration from Lindenwood University and a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology from Ohio University.
