Mark Young

Mark Young, EIT, is an Engineer I at HNTB since June 2023, specializing in rail projects within the Civil Group. Key contributions include preliminary design efforts for the Union Pacific rail corridor and technical analyses such as rail inspections and hazard assessments for high-speed rail corridors. Prior to this role, Mark served as a Student Trainee with the City of Oakland's Public Works division, developing a Python script for data automation in ArcGIS. Mark also gained experience as an Engineer Intern at HNTB and held roles in various capacities, including a substitute custodian and warehouse associate. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley.
