Matt Pickens, PE, is currently the Group Director and Associate Vice President at HNTB, overseeing Roadway, Hydraulics, and Structures in the Carolinas' office. They bring extensive project management experience, having previously served as a Project Manager at Parsons Corporation from 2012 to 2021, where they managed NCDOT projects including bridge replacements and safety improvements. Prior to that, Matt worked as a Project Manager/Roadway Engineer at CDM Smith from 2005 to 2012, focusing on municipal and design-build projects. They are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at North Carolina State University.
