Tom Cary is an experienced rail professional currently serving as the Vice President and Massachusetts Rail and Transit Practice Leader. With over 27 years in signal design engineering, Cary has held senior management positions overseeing engineering, maintenance, and construction for commuter, freight, and transit properties. Cary previously managed a team of over 150 employees in a 24/7 transit system with a budget exceeding $20 million and has been the project manager and signal design lead on various rail projects, including intercity commuter hi-speed rail and light rail systems. Cary's earlier roles included Superintendent of Signals at MBTA and Supervisor of Design - Signal & Communications at Boston & Maine Railroad. Cary holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, earned between 1991 and 1995.
