Irene Millan Crespo

Irene Millan Crespo, PhD, currently serves as a Biotechnology Patent Advisor - Trainee at HOFFMANN EITLE, having joined the firm in March 2023. Prior experience includes a PhD fellowship at the Spanish Cancer Research Centre (CNIO), where research focused on the interplay of non-genetic factors in pancreatic inflammation and cancer, culminating in a Cum Laude thesis. Irene has also worked as a Master's Student at Imperial College London, conducting research on CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, and held a position as a Visiting Researcher at INRAE, gaining experience with germ-free mice models. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Applied Biosciences and Biotechnology from Imperial College London as well as a BSc in Biology from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, with both degrees achieved with high distinctions.
