Shannon Chen, EIT, is a Structural Engineering Design Professional at HOK since July 2022, with prior experience as a Building Structural Engineering Intern at Wight & Company from June 2021 to March 2022. Shannon also served as a Civil & Environmental Engineering Learning Assistant at The Grainger College of Engineering between June 2020 and May 2021 and worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Smart Structures Technology Laboratory from September 2019 to August 2020. An internship with the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey was completed in the summer of 2019, focusing on World Trade Center construction. Shannon earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2021 and attended the National University of Singapore for further studies in 2019.
