Frank Ernst

Frank Ernst is a seasoned professional in digital manufacturing, currently serving as a Maqer at Holcim, where they focus on building the #InternetOfNeed for circularity in building materials through open innovation. Previously, Frank held multiple leadership roles at LafargeHolcim, including Global Digital Lead Manufacturing and Global Head of Thermal Technology, where they drove transformation in factories and advanced energy efficiency initiatives. Frank's academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Process and Particle Technology from ETH Zurich and a Master's degree in Process Engineering from the University of Karlsruhe, complemented by numerous research assignments and leadership training. They began their career as a Research and Teaching Associate at ETH Zurich, later lecturing on nano materials and energy technology.
