Philippe Benard

Philippe Benard is an accomplished R&D Project Manager at Holcim since 2013, overseeing projects that focus on the introduction of new cementitious materials to enhance the circular economy in the company's product offerings. Philippe manages the EU Project 'ReActiv,' which aims to promote sustainable cement production through industrial residue activation. Previously, Philippe served as the Oil & Gas Activities Manager at LafargeHolcim Innovation Center, where responsibilities included developing products for the Oil & Gas market and transferring technical knowledge globally. Earlier experience includes roles as an R&D Engineer at Lafarge, where Philippe led projects on cementitious materials and contributed to innovative low CO2 clinkers, and engineering positions at CERIB and CEA, focusing on concrete sustainability and nuclear waste management. Philippe holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Burgundy.
