Holmes Group
John Hare has a long and diverse work history. John is currently the CEO of the Holmes Group, a position they have held since September 2015. In this role, they oversee the strategic direction and growth of the company, which is a multinational consultancy with five subsidiary companies specializing in various areas of engineering and property development.
Prior to their current position, Hare held multiple roles at the Holmes Consulting Group from 1989 to 2015. These roles included Technical Director, Chairman, and Director & Business Manager. John also worked part-time as the Principal Engineering Advisor at Cera from 2011 to 2012.
In addition, Hare served as the CEO of Holmes Culley from 2000 to 2004 and worked as a Contract Structural Engineer at Harris Sutherland, Edwards & Blackie from 1987 to 1988. Before that, they worked as a Structural Engineer at Holmes Wood Poole & Johnstone Ltd from 1985 to 1987.
John Hare attended the University of Canterbury from 1981 to 1984, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.)(hons) in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
