Michael Schmidt

Michael Schmidt is an experienced Field Service Engineer, currently serving as a Field Service Engineer III at Hologic, Inc. since January 2003. With over two decades in the medical technology field, Michael has been involved in the repair, installation, and maintenance of devices that detect cervical and breast cancer at both microscopic and molecular levels. Prior to this role, Michael held a position as a Field Service Engineer II at Hologic Gen-Probe and worked as a Clinical Systems Engineer at Beckman Coulter. Michael began the career as Lab Manager and Lead Tech for Point of Care Testing at Children's Memorial Hospital. Academic qualifications include a B.S. in Environmental Health from Purdue University and a Medical Technology degree from St Margaret Mercy School of Medical Technology, complemented by over ten years of experience in robotics and electrical components.
