Nico Smet

Nico Smet currently serves as the Head of IBP & Planning at Hologic, Inc., focusing on enhancing team engagement and transitioning to an Integrated Business Planning Process with an emphasis on on-time, in-full delivery. Previously, Nico held multiple roles at Terumo Europe over a decade, including Commercial Excellence Manager, where strategic insights and process optimizations in tender and supply chain management were key responsibilities. Additional roles included managing the EMEA Customer Service and Inventory Planning functions, contributing to global S&OP initiatives, and leading continuous improvement projects. Prior experience includes demand planning and subcontracting management at Sara Lee, as well as consultancy at Accenture. Nico holds a Master's degree in Business Engineering from KU Leuven, graduated with distinction.
