Ranmali P.

Ranmali P. is a seasoned scientist currently holding the position of Scientist 3 at Hologic, Inc. since April 2019, where responsibilities include the development and integration of the Panther Fusion Gastrointestinal Bacterial Multiplex IVD assay using real-time PCR. Prior roles at Hologic included Scientist 2 and Scientist 1, contributing to early development and feasibility studies of the assay. Ranmali has also held a Scientist position at Abbott and conducted doctoral research at the University of California, San Diego, focusing on bacillithiol and its role in bacterial physiology, as well as purifying enzymes relevant to this research. Initial research experience included work as an undergraduate researcher and a visiting student researcher in Malaysia, as well as a student intern at Alere Inc. Ranmali holds a PhD in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from UC San Diego.
