Andy Wooten has been working in the tech industry since 2011. Andy began their career as a Paramedic Crew Chief and Paramedic Preceptor for MEDIC (Mecklenburg EMS Agency) from 2011 to 2017. After that, they joined BiggerPockets as a Quality Assurance Intern, then moved up to Quality Assurance Engineer, Mid Quality Assurance Engineer, and finally Application Engineer. In 2017, they also worked as a Student Support Fellow for Turing School of Software & Design. In 2021, they became a Back End Engineer at Lessonly, and a Full Stack Engineer at Homebot.

Andy Wooten is currently enrolled in a Nanodegree program at Udacity, studying React. Prior to this, they attended the Turing School of Software & Design, where they studied Back End Engineering. Before that, they attended Western Carolina University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Emergency Medical Care in 2010. In December 2020, they also obtained eight certifications from LinkedIn, including Bystander Training: From Bystander to Upstander, Communicating Across Cultures, Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues, Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging, Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for All, Skills for Inclusive Conversations, and Unconscious Bias.
