Bret Doucette has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2010 with various roles before attending the Turing School of Software & Design in 2015. After graduating, they co-founded Zipskee, a social platform that connects travelers and locals around the world, where they were responsible for building and maintaining the API in Ruby on Rails as well as developing the front-end in React + Redux. In 2016, they founded Too Many Miles, a tool that helps people maximize their travel credit card miles, and served as the sole developer coding in Ruby on Rails and React. In 2017, they began working as a Software Engineer at Maxwell, and in 2019, they co-founded TrekWeather, a modern, simplistic website where users can search for specific trails, mountains, and ski areas in Colorado to obtain a detailed and pinpointed weather forecast. Currently, Bret Doucette is a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Homebot.

Bret Doucette obtained their Bachelor of Arts in Theirtory from the University of Virginia between 2006 and 2010. In 2009, they attended the University of Oxford to study Theirtory. Bret then obtained their Masters in Management from Wake Forest University School of Business between 2010 and 2011. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the Federal Aviation Administration as a Private Pilot and from Series 65.
