Martha Ryan is the founder of the Homeless Prenatal Program, established in November 1989, which has developed into a comprehensive Family Resource Center aimed at breaking the cycle of childhood poverty through holistic case management. In addition to leading HPP, Martha currently serves as the founder and executive director of the CHCF Health Care Leadership Program and has held various advisory roles, including with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Women's Health Collaborative. Prior experience includes roles as a family nurse practitioner at the Southeast Health Center and volunteering in emergency shelters and public health in challenging environments, such as managing public health programs during a famine in Sudan. Martha holds multiple degrees, including an MPH in Maternal and Child Health and an honorary Doctor of Human Letters from the University of San Francisco.
