Mother Teresa — ‘Never be so busy as not to think of others.’

In July 2022, after reflecting on this quote by Mother Teresa, a group of young people decided to take a step forward and take action. To contribute our small part to building a better world. More humane. Warmer. More livable. Fairer.

But how do we do it? Parallel to the significant economic and social development that Dublin has experienced in recent years, the number of homeless people has been increasing. There are now more than 9,000 people, nearly a third of them are children, according to Dublin Live.

We are aware that this is a real problem, and we believe that we can do something to try to improve this situation. That’s why we have committed to organizing two outings per month, bringing food and hot drinks to all these people, enveloping them in a calm conversation, with the aim of providing sustenance for both the soul and the body. Reminding them that they are not alone, that they matter in society.

Homeless Run is an initiative that is open to anyone who wants to contribute their bit. Those who believe that gestures matter. That they make a difference.

To change the world, all you need to do is:

- Bring 3 lunches that include (a sandwich, a drink, a chocolate bar, chips, and bananas).
- Come in comfortable shoes and clothing.

You can also bring food vouchers, personal hygiene and toiletry products (wipes, oral hygiene kits, feminine toiletries, shaving supplies), and items to combat the cold (hats, gloves, blankets, etc).
