HoneyBadger is a Solidity storage and permission management framework that consolidates data into extendible storage spaces—individual namespaces where struct fields can be appended in-place without contract redeployments. By decoupling storage from contract-specific implementations, HoneyBadger streamlines upgrades, standardizes how multiple contracts interact with the same data, and allows developers to focus solely on business logic.

🔹Seamless Upgrades & Extensions
Append new fields directly within existing storage spaces—no forced redeployments or data migrations. This simplifies governance and ensures protocols remain functional during updates.

🔹No Redundant Getters/Putters/Adapters
A standardized storage layer removes the need for contract-specific getters, putters, or adapters, allowing direct state access across multiple contracts without additional integration logic.

🔹Reduced Audit & Maintenance Costs
HoneyBadger eliminates manual slot tracking and integration boilerplate, reducing auditable surface area through abstraction, so bugs can only originate from business logic.

🔹Stronger Modular Composability
Multiple contracts (lending, governance, staking, etc.) can safely reference the same data layer without duplicating mappings or risking slot collisions.

Key Technical Features
🔹Extendible Storage Spaces
Each storage space can grow over time; new struct fields are appended in-place with a unique index, preserving older data. New storage spaces can also be created in-place.

🔹Deterministic Hash Indexing
Leveraging keccak256-based offsets prevents collisions and eliminates guesswork around slot assignments.

🔹Guaranteed Single-Hop Access
Storage reads and writes occur in a single execution layer, eliminating multi-proxy dependencies and redundant cross-contract calls.

🔹Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC)
Fine-grained permissions let you define exactly which contracts or addresses can read or modify specific parts of storage.
