Matthew Basner

Matthew Basner is a Senior Nuclear Emergency Response Specialist with extensive experience in nuclear emergency response and explosive ordnance disposal. They served as the Nuclear Emergency Support Team Federal Team Leader at the National Nuclear Security Administration from 2022 to 2024. Before that, Basner worked as a Senior Operations Specialist at Honeywell, where they organized technical training for the interagency Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction community. They have also held various leadership roles in explosives operations within the military and have an Associate's degree in General Studies from American Military University, completed in 2023.
