Ty Nygaard

Ty Nygaard is a Senior Advanced Design Engineer at Honeywell, where they have contributed to turbomachinery projects since 2025. Previously, Ty worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer II Turbomachinery at Honeywell and had earlier roles as an Advanced Design Engineer and Mechanical Engineer Intern with the company. Ty holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota, where they also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Research Assistant, focusing on UAV wind tunnel development. They completed a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Aerospace/Thermal from the same institution.
