Dan Fletcher has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Dan began their career as a CNC machinist and programmer at Schaeffler, where they interpreted specifications and programmed CNC machines for aerospace parts. Dan then transitioned to Stackpole International, where they worked as a CNC machinist, ensuring the quality of parts and making adjustments to machines. After that, they worked as a construction laborer at Ascent Solutions, assisting in the construction and installation of high voltage services.

Dan then shifted their career to software development, starting as a computer programming curriculum consultant at Khan Academy. There, they addressed user error reports, fixed issues with challenge graders, and assessed the need for curriculum additions. Dan then joined Redding Designs as a full-stack web developer, where they introduced Git into the workflow and managed multiple projects within budget and deadlines.

Dan Fletcher began their education at Conestoga College, where they completed their high school degree. After that, they enrolled in the University of the People in 2015 and pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, but they did not complete the program by the end of their attendance in 2019. In the same year, they also obtained a certification in "Docker For Dev/Ops" from Eduonix Learning Solutions Pvt Ltd. Additionally, in 2015, they attended freeCodeCamp and earned a certification in Full Stack Web Development, focusing on computer software engineering. Furthermore, they obtained certifications in various programming subjects such as "JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures" from freeCodeCamp in 2020, "JavaScript: Understanding the Weird Parts" from Udemy in 2016, "JavaScript" and "MySQL and SQL" from TestDome in 2020 and 2016, respectively. Lastly, in 2022, they obtained a certification in "Front End Development Libraries" from freeCodeCamp.
