Amy Rexford

Amy Rexford has a diverse work experience in the field of graphic design and illustration. Amy is currently working as a Designer at Hook since November 2020, where they create ad work and digital content for clients such as Google, Stripe, and Amazon. Amy is also actively involved in the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion committee and mentorship programs. In addition, they co-chairs an extracurricular illustration club.

Before Hook, Amy worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer and Illustrator at AmySunHee from December 2015 to present. Amy collaborated with various clients on projects including portfolio web design, identity and branding, book illustration, and other commissions.

Amy also served as an Art Director at Commonwealth//McCann from December 2016 to November 2020. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Graphic Design Intern and Student Assistant at the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget from May 2014 to April 2016. During this time, they created mockups for state websites and designed logos and branding materials for different state departments and programs.

In 2013, Amy had internships at Action Lab Entertainment, where they remotely created guided view versions of comics and assisted with website renovation. Amy also worked as a Student Staff at Northern Michigan University from August 2013 to May 2014.

Amy's professional journey began as a Freshmen Fellow at Northern Michigan University from August 2012 to April 2013.

Amy Rexford completed their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Communications from Northern Michigan University, where they studied from 2012 to 2016. Before pursuing their higher education, they obtained their high school diploma from Mona Shores High School between the years 2008 and 2012.
