Barak Sober

Algorithm Developer at hoopo

Barak Sober has a diverse work experience in the field of academia and programming. Barak is currently working as an Assistant Professor at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem since July 2021. Prior to that, they served as an Assistant Research Professor at Duke University starting from August 2018.

Before entering academia, Barak worked as an Algorithm Developer at hoopo from December 2016. Barak also served as a Lecturer at Tel Aviv University starting from October 2011.

In the programming field, Barak has experience as a C++ Programmer at Ematech from November 2006 to November 2007. Barak also worked at eWave as a C# Programmer and an IT Applications Load Tester from September 2005 to November 2006. Their role as an IT Applications Load Tester involved automated testing, designing and carrying out tests, and analyzing the statistical results.

Barak Sober completed their education in a chronological manner, starting with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics & Philosophy from Tel Aviv University in 2007. Barak then pursued a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics from the same university, which they obtained in 2013. Continuing their educational journey, Barak Sober went on to achieve a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Applied Mathematics from Tel Aviv University in 2018.
