Blane McPhail

Blane McPhail is an experienced communications and public affairs professional with a strong background in strategic initiatives and public relations. Currently serving as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at HOOPP since August 2021, McPhail has held various roles in government and public relations, including Public Affairs Manager at NATIONAL Public Relations, Manager of Issues and Strategic Communications at the Office of the Premier of Ontario, and Press Secretary for the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. McPhail's earlier experience includes positions as Associate Press Secretary in the Office of the Premier and media relations coordination during the London 2012 Olympics. McPhail holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies from Queen's University and a Certificate in Public Relations from the University of Toronto.
