John Bogdan

John Bogdan is a seasoned taxation professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Director of Taxation at the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) since April 2020, John has also contributed as a Workshop Leader for the Professional Education Program at CPA Ontario since November 2015. Previous roles include Associate Director of Tax at OMERS Infrastructure, where John worked from November 2016 to April 2020, and a series of academic positions at Schulich School of Business, including Sessional Lecturer and Teaching Assistant in Taxation. Additionally, John held a senior position at the Canada Revenue Agency as a Senior Rulings Officer and has extensive experience with Deloitte Canada and EY as a Tax Manager. John is a Chartered Professional Accountant, having completed education requirements through CPA Canada and holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Finance from Schulich School of Business.
