Sameer Punja

Sameer Punja is an experienced investment operations professional currently serving as VP of Investment Operations at HOOPP since January 2025. Previously, Sameer held leadership roles at the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan from March 2012 to December 2024, including Director of Middle Office Trading and Global Markets Operations, where responsibilities included managing a team of approximately 35 investment professionals, overseeing global trade management across over 30 markets, and handling cash management activities in multiple currencies. Earlier experience includes positions at State Street Trust Company, Canada, culminating in the role of Assistant Vice-President in Client Management & Operations. Sameer holds a degree from Western University, obtained between 1994 and 1998.
