Shannon Smith

Shannon Smith, LCSW, has extensive experience in the field of mental health and forensic therapy. Shannon served as the Chief Executive Officer at the HOPE Program, specializing in the treatment of individuals with compulsive sexual disorders and impulsive control issues. Their role at the program involved conducting specialized assessments and adhering to industry standards. Additionally, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at New Beginnings Counseling Centers. Shannon also worked as a Forensic Clinical Psychotherapist and Consultant in private practice. Shannon was a board member and the Bay Area Program Coordinator at the California Coalition on Sexual Offending (CCOSO) for 12 years. Prior to that, they worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker II at Behavioral Health Care Services - Guidance Clinic. Shannon started their career as the Program Coordinator and Forensic Psychotherapist at Sharper Future.

Shannon Smith, LCSW, completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology at Rocky Mountain College, with a double major. Following this, they pursued their Masters of Social Work at the University of Michigan from 2001 to 2003.
