Hopeful Halos Foundation is a non-profit focused on raising funds to support research for a cure for Angelman Syndrome.  Angelman Syndrome is a very rare disease that significantly impairs neurological function.  AS is caused by a defect to a single gene on the 15th chromosome, and researchers have identified promising approaches for repairing this mutation.  Because AS is so rare, however, therapeutic research relies on substantial philanthropic support.
