HORYZN is a student initiative consisting of 58 Bachelor, Master and PhD students of the TU Munich. HORYZN was founded in 2019, with students contributing to our different subteams: Flight Testing & Control, CAD, Integration & Design Loop, Structure and Business. The student initiative has also become part of the NEXT Prototypes e.V. HORYZN is particularly proud of the internationality of the team - over 20 countries are represented.

💭𝗠𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡
HORYZN mainly wants to solve real-life problems with good purpose by applying theoretical knowledge gained in university. Besides that, the initiative strives for an increased social and political acceptance of UAVs. 

✅𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗘𝗦
In July 2024, we finished our latest project: Our UAV KOLIBRI, developed for delivering life-saving defibrillators, successfully took off after 12 months of testing, building, crashing and redesigning.
